Our School
Tumwater High School is a comprehensive high school that has an excellent tradition of programs to meet the diverse needs of students and the community. Our programs provide a wide-range of offerings from basic skills classes to accelerated college prep and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Students can find challenging curriculum at all levels of achievement.
Every student at THS participates in the Senior Culminating Project - 2 Ps as an additional step towards graduation. The 2 P’s include a senior Presentation and a 13th year Plan. Throughout their four years at THS, students will be exposed to a variety of tools to assist them in taking their next steps in life, whether it is continued education or as a contributing member of the workforce.
Our school also offers a wide range of cocurricular programs. Research indicates that students who become involved in co-curricular activities are more likely to succeed in their academic coursework. Approximately 75% of our students are involved in activities that include athletics, clubs, music, drama, leadership, and community service organizations. Our students earn top recognition and awards for their achievements in co-curricular activities.
